PAPER, PRINT, DESIGN, ART & LOVE STORIES

Hello! I’m Sarah — the creative behind Tamborine Press. From your first enquiry to the final unboxing moment, you’ll be working directly with me to bring your vision to life with intention, artistry and a touch of magic.

Tamborine Press was born during a slower, reflective season on Tamborine Mountain, QLD — the place where the name, the heart and the first sketches of this studio took shape in 2021. Those early years unfolded gently as I built something distinct within the wedding industry: playful, whimsical, chic illustrations that kept me rooted in my identity and artistry during the early seasons of motherhood.

Today, I create from my home studio on the Central Coast — Terrigal, Australia, a coastal shift just outside Sydney.

My work is known for its loose, editorial ink lines, bold but refined colour moments, and a playful, fashion-forward sensibility. Shaped in part by my Italian heritage, I’m drawn to European ideas of beauty — where art, print, design and love stories are inseparable, and where everyday moments are treated with intention and romance. I believe wedding stationery should feel like an heirloom, not just an invitation, but a keepsake of a moment you’ll never live twice.

I’m a multidisciplinary creative with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design. Influenced by Ludwig Bemelmans, Saul Bass, Andy Warhol and vintage fashion print advertising, I’m drawn to bold colour, eclectic compositions, quiet resting points for the eyes, hidden surprises, personal stories and weaving it all together into tactile, expressive storytelling.

My process is collaborative but curated — I listen deeply, then create boldly. Tamborine Press has now grown into a boutique studio working with couples around the world, with more than 60% of my clients based in Europe, the US and the UK.

I’m humbled to call this my full-time work, and genuinely overjoyed to collaborate with anyone who feels drawn to what I create.

I can’t wait to craft something unforgettable with you.

LOVE,
Sarah Smythe
